Smoke Dallas with Freaky Deaky
Nestled in next to the Belmont Hotel in Oak Cliff, you’ll find Smoke, a restaurant as full of soul as it is flavor. Chef and owner Tim Byers aims to stick to his love of southern food with a menu that offers innovative, authentic modern Texan cuisine. Byers’ vow to use honest, genuine and real ingredients elevates every dish on the menu. You can taste the freshness with every bite making it very easy to believe your plate is in fact made with love. The interior is heavy with oak and hickory and interesting art. From the old piano that resides in the corner, to the funky plates the food is served on, there are endless eccentric details waiting to be noticed.
Here’s what we recommend: The Cabrito & Masa made with cajeta, green apple salsa verde, & goat cream (it’s one of “Dallas’ Top 100 Dishes” for a reason!) paired with an OHB Freaky Deaky.
